Time to PARTY!!!!

Today we had my birthday party and it was HOT! I don't know why I threw up last night and again this morning, so I didn't feel to well most of the day, but I made it through. I napped a little, but I was too excited to figure out what Mommy and Daddy were doing by moving furniture around and hanging things on the wall and then they put BALLOONS in the house! Just like at the grocery store where I can stare at them from the shopping cart! Anyway, I got to play a little and then we had cake, and I even got my own. They sang a song that I don't know and it kind of scared me a little. I didn't know what to do with the cake so I stuck my fingers in it and it felt kinda funny. I didn't really like it... After cake we opened presents and I was super excited to get this Jungle Safari Play Pool!!! It was too heavy for me to pick up, but I can't wait to see Mommy and Daddy blow it up for me! Overall, it was a great day. Lots of food, lots of friends...what more could a girl want? :)

It's My Birthday and I'll Do What I Want To!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!! Mommy was trying to take her usual picture of me in her rocking chair and I wasn't in the mood. I wanted to PARTY!!!!

I went to daycare today and I had fun playing with all the toys and then I came home for a nap. After my nap we went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. Mommy and Daddy like that place because there are so many different things that I can try to eat...and its free for me, so it doesn't matter if I don't like it...they just try something else. I even got to have some ice cream and a little bit of Daddy's brownie. Then we went home and I got to stay up a little later because of the sugar high I was on. Its good to be the birthday girl!

Teeth, teeth, teeth, and one more tooth!!

Guess what!? I just got four more! And they all came in at once over a short two week period! It wasn't any fun and I'm pretty sure that Mommy didn't appreciate getting up in the middle of the night with me again. But they're all here now and I'm learning a few new things. Like not to bite my thumb, not to bite Mommy and Daddy's shoulders, and how to bite a piece off of something. Wanna know the most interesting thing?? My thumb has delayed one of those four top teeth a little and it hasn't come all the way down yet like the others. Hmmmm...

An Old Soul...

Well, maybe I'm not yet an "old soul", but I can certainly look like an old man. This is what happens when I drink the bathtub water out of my favorite red bath cup. Hahahahaha!

My First Easter Sunday!

So today was my very first Easter Sunday. I'm not sure what it means, but I liked the singing in church and it was fun to see all of my family. We went to church in Pleasanton with Nana and Grandpa and I had a really hard time sitting still. I wasn't feeling really well so that made it hard to be a good girl. Nana gave me a really pretty bunny and took this great picture of me with Mommy and Daddy. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't getting really, really sick again...

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way!!!

Easter is almost here and that means my birthday is coming soon too...

Ms. Loretta at my daycare gave me these little eggs with DUCKIES inside!!! They're little squirty duckies and I can't wait to take them in the bath with me!!

Walking!

I'm doing it! I've finally figured out that walking thing and I'm doing it! I'm not really good at it, but I can get around okay. I'm eleven months old today too, so its extra special. I've heard there's something even better that I'll try to learn next...I think they said it was "running"??

My weekend with Nana...

So this weekend, my Mommy and Daddy took a trip all by themselves to Napa for two whole days. They brought me to Nana's house and Aunt Janell was there waiting to play with me too! Mommy wrote three whole pages of instructions for Nana about how to take care of me and then Nana even still had ~more~ questions for Mommy. :) She showed Nana how to do a few things for me and then off to bed I went. Daddy and Mommy drove to Napa after I was asleep and they had a great time. I got to go to the Farmer's Market and the mall with Nana and Aunt Janell on Saturday and then on Sunday I got to go get pretty pictures taken of me in a new dress that Nana gave me. I was so excited to see Mommy and Daddy when they came home but boy was my weekend with Nana fun. "Curled up with a good book"

I never really liked my swing much, but the good news is that the seat becomes my own little chair! It doesn't rock like Mommy's chair, but it fits me just right. This is my favorite book, and we all know I can't read yet, but I like the colors and all the objects. It'll be fun when I can tell ~you~ what all the pictures are. :)

Poor sick little Abby :(

Ooooooooo...sooooooooo sick! This week has been no picnic folks...I'm sick and miserable. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and I still have an ear infection and a really bad cold. Its so bad I curled up on Mommy's lap with my head on the Boppy, and crashed. She had to get up, so she shifted me onto the ottomon, where I slept for another 20 minutes. Today was the worst and I think I might have ruined Valentine's Day. (good thing Mommy and Daddy are going out on Saturday night instead) I'm feeling pretty bad and crying is making me feel a little better. Daddy says its time to start the 3rd round of antibiotics and start praying that I don't have to have tubes put in my ears.

10 Months!!!

I'm ten months old now and going strong! I'm not quite walking, but I take a couple daring steps here and there. I still only have two teeth on the bottom, but my doctor says I've got some coming on top soon. I've had a long series of antibiotics for my ear infections and they still aren't quite clear yet. I've also had my first fat lip too! I like rocking in Mommy's chair, but it will be a while before I can get up there all by myself... But I'm a pretty big girl...look at me when I was 4 months old and NOT slouching like I am now...

Just hanging around...

Nothing much going on in January now, so I'm hanging out at home with Mommy and Daddy. I'm working on my crawling and getting around on these funny things on the end of my legs. I'm outgrowing most of my clothes and discovering "new" toys in Daddy's office. (toys that I used to play with, but am too old for, but I remember how to push the buttons)

Big Girl Carseat!!

This is my new carseat and I LOVE it! Its got padded straps and the clips are
plastic, so they won't burn me in the summer. It sits up a little higher,
so now I can see what's going on as we drive. Mommy wasn't crazy
about the flowers, but I like them, and I think they're growing on her.

My First Wedding!

What a beautiful day! For the last two weeks its been really stormy and rainy, but the sun came out today, just to shine on Uncle Colin and Auntie Jen's wedding day! This was my first wedding and I was such a good girl everyone said. I was quiet during the entire ceremony and then even took a nap in Mommy's arms at the reception. I ate squash and pears for dinner, but everyone else had Mexican food, horchata, and sangria.

Doesn't my Uncle Colin look so happy?? And isn't my Auntie Jen so beautiful??

9 Months Old!!!

So, this is just a little early, but I had my 9 month check-up a little early and Dr. DeVilliers says I'm doing GREAT! I now weigh 18lbs, 10oz, and I'm 27 1/8 inches. My "ticker" as Daddy calls it, is doing great and I'm meeting all my milestones...sometimes a little early. The Dr. says I should be getting some new teeth soon too. And...because I'm getting to be such a big girl, I'm getting a new carseat soon! :)
