Memorial Day!

Many thanks to all our veterans who gave their lives so I could be born in a free country...where I can go to dinner with my Daddy and Mommy and Auntie Kirstie, Uncle Colin and Special Friend Jen!!!! Everybody held me but then I was tired, so Mommy let me fall asleep in her arms and I didn't wake up again until everyone was done eating. :) Then I got a bottle...those things are great! And then when we were about to go home, we were lucky enough to have a special family picture taken...isn't my little outfit cute??? Daddy picked it out special just for me!

My First Trip to Monterey

Ahhhh...what a place!! :) Mommy and Daddy have a tradition to go to Monterey every year over Memorial Day weekend. Usually Stephen and Michelle come too, but this year it was just us. We had lunch at Rosine's...yup...me too...well...a really yummy bottle for me actually. And then we went down to Cannery Row for a walk and then on to 17 Mile Drive. That's where we had this really neat picture taken at the Lone Cyprus by some very nice French tourists. After the Drive, we had dinner...and then...yea...I'd had enough of my car seat...so I screamed for the next hour. But at least the weather was really nice...

Happy Birthday Auntie Kirstie!

Today was my Auntie Kirstie's birthday...and I got to be at the table and everything! She had a great tan from her trip to Florida and this crazy hair I'm not so sure about. We had a special dinner and gave her presents. I think I'm gonna like this "birthday" thing...can't wait for mine...

Bath time!!!!

Daddy went back to work today, so Mommy had to give me a shower all by herself. When we got out...Mommy took this picture of me sitting in my chair. I just wanna know why she was taking pictures and not getting me all diapered and dressed warm again. Hmmmmm...but aren't I cute? :)

Mommy's First Mother's Day

Nobody told me that I was supposed to be good today!!! I think I messed up a little. I woke up really early crying and Daddy couldn't keep me quiet to let Mommy sleep. Then I fussed all the way to church...but I did much better there and was quiet all the way through the service. We came home and Nanna, Grandpa and Uncle Brian came over to celebrate. Nanna brought Mommy a beautiful plant, Daddy bought Mommy roses and Auntie Kirstie sent Mommy's favorite lilies all the way from Florida! I was still really fussy all afternoon...so everyone made Mommy go take a nap and that's why there aren't any pictures of us. But now that I know what I'm supposed to do on Mother's Day...I'm sure I can get it right next year.

Abby Bobble Head!

Hahahahaha!!! I'm so funny!! Look at Daddy!! He's crackin' up because I'm such a "bobble head"!!!!! But its so safe and comfy in his arms...I could stay here forever...

I'm one month old!!!!

Look at me!!!! I'm so big already!! I got to go with Mommy and Daddy to a special place for dinner tonight. They tell me its special because its where they had their first date...ahhhhhhh... isn't that sweet!? I did my very best to be a big girl...I slept all the way through dinner and woke up during dessert because I wanted my bottle. I only spit out a little bit...mostly because I'm not sure what to do with my tongue...as you can see. :)

The Memorial Ride

So I'm told there once was a man named "Grandpapa" and everybody loved him. He died before I was born, but he's not forgotten. Just to make sure that nobody forgets, there was a special motorcycle ride that now they're planning on doing every year. My Uncle Colin organized it and my grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and a few cousins all went on the trip. I'm too little for a trip like that, so Daddy and Mommy stayed behind...but we all went to say "Goodbye" to the travelers. Look at me!!!! Even I got a special shirt! (I think its a little big ...but Daddy says I'll grow into it.)

My First Trip to Muir Woods

Mommy and Daddy needed to get beyond our four walls today...so we took a trip. We drove through SF and over the Golden Gate Bridge and then down a really curvy road to the Woods. We went for a walk and this is a picture of me sleeping on a bridge over a beautiful creek. The weather was perfect and aside from 3 dirty diapers in 20 minutes, Mommy says I was an angel. :)

More First Visits!!

I love meeting new people!!!! Grandpa R and Uncle Colin came to see me and hold me for the first time (on different days). They both have big strong arms to hold me when I get big and I had fun making them smile. :)

My First Trip to Apple!!

Daddy and Mommy needed to get out of the house today...so we went for a drive...to...Apple!! Its where Daddy works and they have yummy food for lunches. (I didn't get to taste it but Mommy seemed to like it.) Every time I come to visit Daddy, I'll have to get these great big stickers with my name on them so they know who I am...must be 'cuz I'm important. :) I think I'll collect them...

Sleepy Daddy

I like sleeping...its what I do most of the time. Well...that or cry...or eat...or poop. Hmmm...my life is slow. Anyway...sometimes its nice to snuggle when I'm sleepy...so I thought I would snuggle with Daddy because ~he~ was sleepy.

I'm home today!!!

Mommy and I got to come home today!!! :) We're all sick with a yucky cold, so there's been alot of sleeping going on...just look at me...I'm wiped out. :( I'm laying on a special blankie Mommy's friend Melissa Meek made and I really like it. I'm wearing a onesie that says "Just Hatched" and super comfy pants from Aunt Janell. (my jacket was too big) I think I look little in this picture...but I'm not so small. I weighed 7lbs, 10oz and was 19.5 inches when I was born and when we left the hospital today I was 7lbs, 3oz. (I didn't get any shorter...don't worry:) Nanna was here when we got home and has done a great job helping take care of me and Mommy and Daddy. (Poor Daddy is really sick.) We're glad to be home...now we don't have to worry about all the busy little nurses coming in to wake us up all the time. Ahhhhhhhhh...home sweet home.

I'm here!!!!!

And I did it all on my own!!! (I wouldn't let them evict me!) Mommy's water broke at 2:36am and then her contractions started at 3am. At 3:45am she couldn't lay down through them anymore so got up and got in the shower. (Daddy was sleeping in the guest room because Mommy snored like a Mack truck). Daddy came in at 4:15 and Mommy said he needed to hurry up and get dressed...20 minutes she said. She was already ready to go, so when Daddy asked for some breakfast...Mommy went and made him a bagel with cream cheese. :) Silly parents! :) They got in the car at 5am...arrived at the hospital at 5:18am...and Mommy was already 6cm by 5:45am!!!! I was coming fast!!! Haha! At 7:30am Mommy said she needed to push and I popped out at 8:12am. Mommy and I didn't have any drugs, so I had my eyes wide open and I spent an hour or so just looking around...couldn't see much though. Dr. Belton did a great job and didn't drop me. :) Daddy cut my cord and all the nice nurses wrapped me up nice and tight and warm. Gram, Auntie Kirsten and Wanda were all there and held me...but Mommy got to hold me most. I got comfy blankies, but I like my new hat best!!!
